Have to be ODD to be ‘THE NUMBER ONE!’
Have to be ODD to be ‘THE NUMBER ONE!’
Think Outside the Box…
I’ve always known that I was different ever since I was a child. I couldn’t help but to effortlessly be the odd one out. Growing up, this made me upset. I wanted to be cool and fit in like the other kids. But as I grew older, I realized how much I love being different. I embrace my individuality now! I love it and it’s what makes me, well, me!
The invention of the wheel was a miraculous
invention, along with the airplane, and the telephone. All the inventions that
have ever been created weren't just something that was already drawn out on a
piece of paper for the inventors. They had to think. They had to imagine the
masterpiece before it was even a physical object. These people weren't just
thinkers or inventors. These people "Thought Outside the Box."
Many people who try to invent something are not
successful because they are afraid to break the confines of the outline. What I
mean by this is that the people are so accustomed to thinking like everybody
else, they are afraid to explore the possibilities of their minds. They can't
picture something that already isn't there. Often a person will see something
that was invented and wonder why they never thought of something so simple. The
answer is very uncomplicated... they didn't break the confines of the outline.
There are always those people who stand out
against others because of their beliefs, styles, and mindset among other
things. These are the people in our society who are deemed adjectives such as
weird, outrageous, unique, or even crazy. But it is always these
“outside-the-box” mind states of people that put them above and beyond
category, and many of these people go on to achieve great things because they
think above and have strong beliefs and ideals that transcend reality.
There are so many people who believe they
aren’t enough. They hate that they’re different from the everyday crowd and try
so hard to be someone they’re not. However, being unique is something truly
wonderful. No one can be quite like you, and that’s such a great feeling.
You’re a likable person, whether you realize it or not!
All of us have a story to tell; a story of our
own; a story of our unique experiences, choices, and dreams. Your life too has
been fashioned by specific aspirations, special relationships, and situations
and people: this is your story.
What if everyone in the world was exactly alike? What if
everyone talked the same, acted the same, listened to the same music and
watched the same TV programs? The world would be extremely dull!
I believe it's important to
accept people for who they are.
What makes you Unique?
Your experiences make you unique. Look at all the initiatives
you took, problems you solved, and achievements you created. Pick the ones that
gave you meaningful insights. You could also stand out because of certain
values you imbibed and the strengths you developed.
The Amazing Power of Uniqueness
Everybody is
different. We all think, talk, learn, pray, and live differently than others.
While many think it’s important to fit in with “the crowd”, it’s not as great
as it may seem. Think about it; if all your friends lived the same lives as you
did, wouldn’t you get bored with them? The best part about friendship is
everyone thinks differently. They all contribute something special to the
table, just like you.
We all follow our own
unique culture. Everyone has their own dreams and their own ways of
pursuing them. Listen to music your friends aren’t crazy about. Try new foods. Do
what makes your soul happy. You’re in control of your life. Live it to the
fullest!
Embrace Your Uniqueness
Each one of us is born with unique traits and
characteristics that help us shine and find our true calling. Learning to love
ourselves for who/what we are is a big challenge, and when people persistently
avoid us for being ourselves, it makes it that much harder to embrace our
uniqueness. I implore you to continue being the best version of yourself you
can possibly be. Who knows, you might inspire somebody else to embrace
themselves! After all, having one or two good friends that adore you for who
you are is much better than having ten or eleven friends who like who you
pretend to be.
Being Different Means You’re Irreplaceable!
No one is you and that
is your power. No one can replace you because no one is YOU. Embrace who you
are and love you who you are because you’re never going to be anybody else. You
must accept yourself for who you are and learn to let your quirkiness shine.
If there’s something that makes you different that you’re insecure about, turn your insecurities into your strengths. Instead of being ashamed, be proud. Be proud because you are being your own kind of beautiful by simply being yourself. Once you are proud of who you are, no one can bring you down. Only you have the power to do that. So, if anyone thinks that they can replace you? Wrong. No one can compare to you because you don’t have any competition. No one is you or will ever be you. That is your power.
Walk with your head held high because you are different. Own who you were meant to be. No one is the same, so if you learn to embrace your true self, then you’ve got nothing to lose, ever. So, go out there and be yourself. After all, you have more to gain than lose that way.
