While surfing for the term temporary address, you may just get this – “A Temporary Change of Address service routes mail from your current address to a new location for a short period.”

Banjaras and other wandering tribes- They go all through their lives with everything temporary- address included. Look deep within and see what is permanent. Try to pen down 20 things that are permanent. Tough! Ok, 5? Still tough? Can you get down to identify, at least one? I asked many people from different walks of life. Some said “Jaan hein tuh jahaan hein,” that is till we are alive and in good health. So, is only being alive and living related to permanence?

The only answer that somewhat matched my sensibilities to permanence was this Planet. Still so much disappointment, pain, resentment, depression or the reverse, so much of conceit, selfishness….? Live and Let Live makes sense or are these only philosophical, textbook thoughts?

Every individual remembers their first big monetary loss, emotional heartbreak, or a broken bone? Yes, the memory is there, but the pain was temporary. Everything is temporary. I want to believe in this as it will make life easier, understandable, and a bit less heart-wrenching. We need to constantly remind ourselves that like everything else, even we are temporary. I have learned to embrace life and not take anything for granted.

Value and be grateful for if you look around you will see a sea of the less fortunate who crave to be in your shoes. Hold on to cherish all those good moments as no one knows you never know how long they will last.

Look at some address proofs, very important to prove permanency so some kind. The list is endless, just some are listed here - Water Bill, Telephone (landline or postpaid mobile bill). Electricity bill, Income Tax Assessment Order, Election Commission Photo ID card, Gas connection bill, Certificate from Employer of reputed and widely known companies on letterhead (Only public limited companies can give address proof on company letterhead along with seal), Aadhaar Letter/ Card (Aadhaar letter/card or the e-Aadhaar (an electronically generated letter from the website of UIDAI) will be accepted as Proof of Address (POA) and Proof of Photo-Identity (POI) for availing passport related services. Acceptance of Aadhaar as PoA and PoI would be subject to successful validation with Aadhaar database.) Rent Agreement. Photo passbook of running Bank Account (Scheduled Public Sector Banks, Scheduled Private Sector Indian Banks and Regional Rural Banks only)
