Technology- its significance...

Technology
is unstoppable, our future, and beyond.
Technology
is following the up curve in the progress graph. It has made the life of human
beings comfortable. Who knew, in the times of COVID 19, technology will help us
ace it. Technology is helping us monitor, research, communicate, and bring all
on the same page.
Technology is increasingly growing in its importance in the education sector. From the
academically inclined to academically challenged, it is a support. The more
technology advances, the greater the benefit for the diversity of learners.
For learning is the need of all and not of just those who are
inclined or have a natural aptitude. Technology is not biased towards aptitude;
it allows all to dream and develops.
Modern
education must combine with modern technology to come up with the best results.
The teacher and the student both can use technology to enhance the teaching and
learning strategies.
Remote
learning, with the help of technology, is the need of the hour. It is
benefitting those who are by nature shy or have less energy to follow a rigid
timetable. It does have some disciplinary angle yet saving teacher's time too
on class management. Students can focus and if a lesson is recorded, hear it
again and again. Remote learning has increased the role of parenting though.
The issue
is how to effectively employ technologies and harness fully the new
opportunities to promote positive student learning experiences without creating
antisocial tendencies or creating comfort in aloofness.
The issue related to depression is on the rise. There may be a hint of too much exposure to technology as one of its reason. Technology related to the internet may give a false sense of the warmth of a virtual world. For human beings, personal touch and real relationships are important.
For a Faceoff: Technology is the
'in-thing' yet as per Elbert Hubbard ........"One machine
can do the work of fifty ordinary men. No machine can do the work of one
extraordinary man." – Elbert
Hubbard.
