"Honesty is the first chapter in the book of wisdom." - Thomas Jefferson.

We all have at some point or another in our lives have come across this phrase. Honesty is the code of conduct that connotes a positive attribute of a person such as truthfulness, integrity, and straightforwardness. It is indeed a wise phrase. This proverb is said by the famous person Benjamin Franklin. He regarded honesty as the best tool for a successful life. Probably, every child learns this teaching from their parents. This beautiful teaching has been taught since time immemorial.

An honest man always occupies an important place in the hearts of the people. Honesty creates peace and comfort in life. It elevates our standing in society. A man is known by his dealings. He who deals with honesty always receive respect and esteem.

From childhood, we are taught many moral values one of which is to always speak the truth in our day to day life as it is a positive attribute. Being honest sometimes puts you through hardships but ultimately it always leads you to good. It is possible that dishonesty may succeed for a short time, but honesty is sure to succeed better in the long run.

We all are different from each other and what defines our individual character is our real persona and ethics in life. People identify the real you only if you are honest and real with them. If you believe in yourself and value yourself then you would voice your true opinion and express yourself.

One must be loyal and speak the truth at every walk of life and in all dealings. Honesty, loyalty, and truthfulness provide peace of mind. It is observed that an honest and truthful person always leads a happy life.

He may seem to prosper for some time, but, sooner or later, his customers are bound to see through his tricks and cease to patronize him.
